Once there lived a wealthy man who had everything—money, family, and respect. But he always faced worries and problems. Nothing in his life stayed peaceful. One day, he met a wise sage who told him:
“Your troubles will go away if you observe Wednesday fast and pray to Lord Budh (Mercury) with true devotion.”
The man began keeping the Wednesday vrat sincerely.
One Wednesday, after completing his puja, he prepared simple food without salt, as the vrat required. At the same time, his relatives arrived unexpectedly. Without thinking, his wife served them the food prepared for the vrat.
The man felt sad and worried: “I kept the fast, but the food was given away by mistake. Will my vrat be successful?”
That night, Lord Budh appeared in his dream and said:
“Do not worry. You kept the fast with a pure heart. Even if the food was served to guests, I accept your devotion.”
From that day, the man’s problems slowly disappeared. His business grew, his home became peaceful, and he started living a happy life.
The man continued observing the Wednesday vrat every week and thanked Lord Budh for changing his life.
