Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a poor woodcutter named Dhanu. He was a hardworking and honest man. Every Tuesday, he used to observe a fast and worship Lord Hanuman, believing that Hanuman ji would protect him and remove all his problems.
One day, Dhanu was going to the forest to cut wood. On the way, he met an old man who asked him, “Where are you going, my son?”
Dhanu replied, “I am going to the forest to cut wood so I can earn some money for my family.”
The old man said, “Today is Tuesday. Do not cut wood on this day. Instead, worship Lord Hanuman. He will bless you.”
Dhanu respected his advice and returned home.
When he reached home, his wife was worried and asked, “Why didn’t you bring wood today? How will we earn money?”
Dhanu explained what happened and said, “Let us trust Hanuman ji. He will surely help us.”
That evening, Dhanu lit a lamp and prayed with full devotion. The family slept peacefully.
Next morning, when Dhanu woke up, he saw a huge pile of wood outside his house. Not only this—there was also a small pouch filled with coins. Dhanu was shocked but extremely happy.
At that moment, the same old man appeared. He revealed himself as Lord Hanuman and said,
“Dhanu, your faith and devotion have pleased me. Continue to observe the Tuesday fast and help others. Your life will always be blessed.”
Saying this, Hanuman ji disappeared.
From that day on, Dhanu’s life changed. He never faced poverty again. His family lived happily, and Dhanu continued to observe the Tuesday fast with devotion.
