The Little Star Who Could

Once upon a time, high up in the night sky, there was a tiny star named Twinkle. Twinkle was smaller than all the other stars and often felt sad because she couldn’t shine as brightly.

Every night, the bigger stars would laugh and say, “You’re too small to light up the sky.” Twinkle would quietly blink, wishing she could do something special.

One evening, a little boy on Earth looked out of his window and whispered, “I wish I could see a star just for me tonight.” Twinkle heard him and felt a warm feeling in her heart. “Maybe I can help him,” she thought.

She focused all her tiny light and twinkled as brightly as she could. To her surprise, her little light looked magical from Earth. The boy’s eyes sparkled with joy, and he waved at the sky, shouting, “Thank you, little star!”

From that night on, Twinkle realized that it didn’t matter how big or small she was. What mattered was shining in her own special way.

And every night, Twinkle twinkled happily, knowing she could make someone smile.
