1. The Story of Prahlad and Holika

Prahlad was a devoted child of Lord Vishnu, but his father, Hiranyakashipu, hated Vishnu. He tried to kill Prahlad many times, but the boy’s devotion protected him. Once, Hiranyakashipu asked Holika, his sister, to sit with Prahlad in a fire because she had a magic cloak that could save her. But the cloak flew from Holika to Prahlad, saving him and burning Holika. This story teaches that true devotion and faith always protect you.

2. Lord Ganesha and the Moon

Once, Lord Ganesha was riding his mouse when it stumbled, and he fell. The moon laughed at him. Angry, Ganesha cursed the moon, saying anyone who looked at it on a full moon day would be blamed for false accusations. But later, he softened the curse. This story teaches that pride and arrogance can lead to mistakes, and forgiveness is important.


3. The Story of Dhruva

Dhruva was a young prince who was ignored by his stepmother. Determined to get Lord Vishnu’s blessing, he did intense penance. Impressed by his devotion, Vishnu appeared before him and granted him a special place in the sky as the pole star, Dhruva Nakshatra, where he shines forever. This story teaches perseverance and dedication.


4. The Churning of the Ocean (Samudra Manthan)

The Devas and Asuras churned the ocean to obtain Amrit (nectar of immortality). They used Mount Mandara as the churning stick and the serpent Vasuki as the rope. Many treasures emerged, including Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. This story teaches the power of cooperation and patience.
