Budhwar Vrat Katha
Once upon a time, there was a wealthy merchant in a city. He was very kind and religious but had no children. Despite performing many prayers and rituals, he remained unhappy because he longed for a child.
One day, a saint visited his house. The merchant served him respectfully and told him about his sorrow. The saint advised him to observe the Budhwar Vrat (Wednesday fast) with full devotion and worship Lord Ganesha and Mercury.
The merchant followed the saint’s advice sincerely. Every Wednesday, he fasted, prayed, and offered durva grass, flowers, and sweets to Lord Ganesha. He also listened to the Budhwar Vrat Katha with devotion.
After some time, his faith was rewarded. By the grace of Lord Ganesha and Budh Graha, he was blessed with a beautiful son. His life became filled with happiness and prosperity.
However, as years passed, the merchant became proud of his wealth and stopped observing the fast regularly. Slowly, he started facing problems in business and family life. Realizing his mistake, he again began observing Budhwar Vrat with full devotion.
Soon, his difficulties were removed, and prosperity returned to his life. He understood that faith, humility, and regular worship are the true keys to happiness.
