The old woman had a cow, and she used cow dung to clean and purify the area where she worshipped. Her neighbor, however, was jealous of her devotion and happiness. One day, the neighbor secretly tied up the old woman’s cow so that she could not use the cow dung for her prayers.
Because of this, the old woman could not clean the worship area properly. Feeling sad, she decided not to cook or eat anything that day and continued her fast without food.
Seeing her sincere devotion, the Sun God appeared in her dream that night and asked why she had remained hungry. The old woman explained everything. Pleased by her faith and dedication, the Sun God blessed her with a divine cow that produced gold.
When the jealous neighbor saw this miracle, she became greedy and complained to the king, saying that the old woman possessed a magical cow that should belong to the palace. The king ordered his soldiers to bring the cow to him.
